Item uses

The flagstaff can be wielded in the weapon slot, but does not give any bonuses. When wielded, the flagstaff has a "place" option which places it on the ground and anyone can read it. When placed on the ground, the flagstaff is still in the owner's inventory and has the option "find", which opens the world map and locates the flag, and "recall", which removes the flag so you can place it elsewhere or wield it.

Where/how to get
People who bought a ticket for RuneFest 2010 or were invited by Jagex to the event got a code they could redeem by talking to Diango with a unique 8-digit code. Only people who attended the event got the flagstaff, making this one of the rarest items in the game. RuneFest was a real-life RuneScape event hosted by Jagex in London on August 28th, 2010.
